Residence-opening of the "umbrella" workshop

After several years of working and experimenting with the concept, we are ready to mark our open workshop on the map of the maker community.‍

‍

We invite workshop curators, makers who work with wood, metal, plastic, ceramics, or 3-D printing, and anyone who wants to develop in the field of maker education to attend the opening residency.

‍

This is a great opportunity to establish connections between different workshops, share your own experience, approaches and unique context of makerhood.

‍

We will come together to identify our points of intersection, opportunities for further cooperation; to strengthen each other and strengthen the development of the maker movement in Ukraine.

‍

We will also present a new space to the city community - its participants, goals, visions, and opportunities. Using the examples of the open workshop projects, we will introduce the community to the maker culture and its prospects in the modern world.

‍

During the residency, we will
- get to know each other: through collaboration and our projects;
- create new projects that will help launch the workshop and that can be easily implemented in other workshops
- discuss what unites workshops and makers in Ukraine and possible formats of our interaction;
- to present their works in the format of the Expo and open doors of Parasolka;
- celebrate and just enjoy the good moments.

Program
15.04 (Thursday) - arrival of participants, familiarization with Promprylad and the workshop, breakdown into project groups.
16.04 (Friday) - work on projects
17.05 (Saturday) - work on projects, discussion with makers about the maker movement
18.05 (Sunday) - Parasolka Open House, celebration‍
